Special Award: Balkan+Plural

Balkan PLUS Plural Award is a symbol of cooperation with Plural PLUS Festival of United Nations, and a special stimulus for young filmmakers of Balkan countries to channel their own views of migration and migrants of all kinds (especially the youngest) into their films, to be armed with humanity and tolerance, and to speak of young people from marginalized groups, and to show that film is really a language that stimulates intercultural dialogue.

CLOSE YOUR EYES is a film that has in it all of the above, PLUS two young actors, excellent and simple story, very talented young director and a message that is necessary on the Balkans: the differences between us are small, but the similarities are great!

Balkan PLUS Festival is proud to give the first award 2010 to Miss Zeynep Nihan Yami, Turkey, director of the CLOSE YOUR EYES. Miss Zeynep Nihan Yami has invitation to come in Belgrade during the Balkan PLUS like member of international jury.
